Customer Messages – Addon

Overview

Customer Messages gives you the option to communicate in a chat style windows to your clients via each booking they place.

When Activated clients can send a message against their booking. Agents can also send files directly to clients against each booking.

Message Areas

Locations messages appear

Each message or communication is attached to a booking by the client. You can only start a conversation from an existing booking and not via the customer directly.

With customer messaging enable you can see new messages via:

The Dashboard

A new chat bubble will appear on the top of the backend agents dashboard.

When a new message is receive a number indicating a new message will appear on the chat bubble.

By clicking on the bubble a list of all available customer bookings will show. Each booking can be sent a message or attach a file from your media folder.

Editing a Booking

When you edit a customer booking an option to check or create a message appears at the bottom of the edit booking window.

The Messages Button will then open all Message History against the booking in the left hand window.

Customer Dashboard

When a customer views their dashboard a message tab is available.

Each new message will be highlighted with a number in a red bubble.

Message bubbles will show when the customer selects the message tab.

The latest message will be displayed with any conversations shown in the right hand window.

Message Notifications Emails

Email when a new message is created

When the Customer Messages Addon is installed an extra option to send emails for new notifications gets added to the agent and customer tabs.

This is configured under:

settings>notifications>email templates
