Agents and Customers can be configure to receive Emails based on certain conditions with a simple tick applied.
Emails are triggered by four different events in LatePoint.
- Confirmations
- Status Changes
- New Chat Messages (addon)
- Password Reset Requests
Confirmation Email
The initial creation of the appointment
This could be any status which has been configured as the Default Appointment Status. The creation of the appointment triggers an immediate email to be sent to either the Agent or Customer.
The initial status is configured under:
settings>settings>general>appointment settings>default appointment status
Status Change Email
Email when the initial appoinment status changes to something else
The appointments can have a status of:
- Approved
- Pending Approval
- Payment Pending
- Cancelled
When an appointment has been changed in it’s status by an agent or admin the email is created to be sent with the status change information to either the agent or customer.
Message Notifications Email – Addon
Email when a new message is created
When the Customer Messages Addon is installed an extra option to send emails for new notifications gets added to the agent and customer tabs.
Password Reset
Customer password reset via email
If a customer chooses to reset their password during the booking process then an email is sent immediatly with a replacement token. Customising this template will change what they receive in this password reset email.
